Challenge Model JO Table Top Paper Drill – 010423000851A
Paper Drill Description
This new Challenge Model JO Paper Drill is designed to meet the needs of offices or duplicating operations and small printing plants, for a good, sturdy, reliable but relatively low-cost paper drilling machine.
This new Model JO can be used on any convenient work bench or table. All that is required to operate is to plug in to any standard 1 10 volt AC outlet. It is compact, requiring less than 3-1/2 square feet of space, and weighs only 60 lbs.
All sizes from 1/8 to 1/2 inch in diameter can be handled using standard Challenge Hollow Drills. To change hole sizes take out one size of drill and insert another.
The 18″ x 21″ work table provides ample capacity for handling the 8-1/2″ x 11″ sheets and larger sizes.
On round hole drilling, the chips go up through the center of the hollow drill and empty into a convenient container in the rear of the machine.
The distance between holes is easily adjustable by means of movable stops on the side guide. A convenient scale is provided for setting. Six stops are provided as standard equipment and … more can be added if needed. The back gage also can be quickly and easily adjusted for the desired distance of the holes from the edge of the paper and is easily set with the aid of a convenient scale. The back guage is self aligning and locks with a single thumb screw.
One hole is drilled at a time. Simply tripping the side guide with one finger of the left hand releases the side guide and the paper can then be easily moved to the next hole position.
Easy operation of the drilling head is provided by means of the lever at the side of the machine. The drilling head moves easily upward and downward with relatively little effort on the operator’s part.
Quiet trouble-free operation is obtained by the sturdy basic design and the use of a heavy duty, ball bearing type motor with pre-lubricated bearings which directly drives the drill spindle.
