The Plastikoil PBS 3000QS is a fully automatic coil inserting system integrated with the PBS NCF automatic coil former, creating a complete inline plastic-coil binding system. The NCF former manufactures plastic spiral coil from filament, while the PBS 3000QS automatically inserts the coil into pre-punched books and crimps the ends. This setup allows binderies to produce coil and bind books in one continuous workflow, increasing efficiency and reducing material handling.

Operation:

1. Automatic coil forming in the NCF unit takes a filament and forms a plastic spiral coil to the required diameter and pitch
2. The coil is then fed directly to the inserter without manual handling
3. Pre-punched books are placed in the PBS 3000QS binding station
4. Plastic spiral is inserted though the punched holes
5. Both ends of the coil are cut and crimped to secure the binding
6. Bound books exit the machine
