The 2003 Acme Interlake S3A 7/8 in Flat Book / Saddle Stitcher is a heavy-duty wire stitching machine designed for commercial bindery and print finishing operations. It produces flat or saddle stitches for booklets, catalogs, manuals, and other printed materials. The machine forms staples directly from continuous bookbinder’s wire, allowing consistent high-production stitching without frequent staple reloading.
Main Machine
The S3A stitcher forms and drives wire staples through stacked materials before clinching them on the underside of the work. The machine can be configured for flat work or saddle stitching and features adjustable gauges for accurate positioning. A single adjustment control allows operators to quickly change compression and thickness settings when switching between thin pamphlets and thicker booklets.
