The Heidelberg Stahlfolder B20 is a versatile pile-feed paper folding machine capable of handling a wide range of sheet sizes and folding schemes. Designed for commercial print finishing, it can process sheets from 5.5″ × 8.5″ up to 20″ × 28″ (with maximum format up to 20″ × 33″) and offers hundreds of folding configurations, including parallel folds, right-angle folds, and complex combinations. The machine is equipped with a buckle plate system with swing deflectors, a mobile delivery for folded stacks, and is capable of handling both standard and thick stock.

The operator loads stacks of sheets onto the pile feeder, where the machine automatically picks and feeds sheets into the folding unit. Using the buckle plates and swing deflectors, the machine directs each sheet into the folding rollers according to the programmed fold configuration. The operator monitors the folding quality, adjusts fold settings as needed, and guides the folded sheets onto the mobile delivery tray, where stacks accumulate for further finishing or packaging. The system allows continuous high-speed operation while minimizing manual handling.
